Grizzlies officially announce signing of F Anderson

A day after the San Antonio Spurs declined to match their offer sheet, the Memphis Grizzlies announced the signing of forward Kyle Anderson on Monday.The Grizzlies did not reveal terms of the contract, but multiple media reports indicated that the 24-year-old restricted free agent landed a four-year, $37.2 million deal.The Spurs had until 11:59 p.m. ET on Sunday to match the bid and retain him, but they decided against doing so.Anderson, a defensive specialist, likely will move immediately into Memphis’ starting lineup.Anderson averaged career highs last season in all major stats: 7.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.6 steals and 0.8 blocks in 74 games (67 starts). In his previous three NBA seasons, he started a total of only 33 games.The Spurs chose him 30th overall in the 2014 draft after he spent two seasons at UCLA.
