Reports: Finney-Smith agrees to re-sign with Mavs

Restricted free-agent forward Dorian Finney-Smith has agreed to re-sign with the Dallas Mavericks, getting a three-year, $12 million deal, according to multiple reports.Finney-Smith played 81 games (26 starts) in 2018-19, his third season with the Mavs, averaging 7.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.Among the group of players previously agreeing to re-sign with Dallas during this free agency period are Maxi Kleber (four years, $35 million), J.J. Barea (one year, veteran minimum) and Kristaps Porzingis (five years, $158 million). Porzingis was traded from the New York Knicks to the Mavericks on Jan. 31.Free agent guard Seth Curry on Monday agreed to a four-year, $32 million deal with the Mavericks. Curry will return to Dallas after averaging 7.9 points last season with the Portland Trail Blazers.According to sources at ESPN, the Mavs have more than $22 million in salary-cap space and hope to sign Danny Green, who is awaiting the free agency decision of Kawhi Leonard, his teammate with the world champion Toronto Raptors, before making his choice.
