76ers F Chandler sidelined with hamstring injury

Philadelphia 76ers forward Wilson Chandler will miss at least two to three weeks with a strained left hamstring, the team announced Saturday.Chandler suffered the injury during the first half of Friday’s 104-84 preseason victory over Melbourne United.Chandler underwent an RI exam on Saturday to determine the severity of the injury.The 76ers said he will be re-evaluated in approximately two to three weeks.Chandler, 31, played four minutes off the bench, totaling two rebounds. It was his 76ers debut after being acquired in a trade with the Denver Nuggets over the offseason.Hamstring injuries have plagued Chandler throughout his career. He averaged 10.0 points and 5.4 rebounds in 74 games (71 starts) with the Nuggets last season.For his career, Chandler has averaged 13.5 points and 5.4 rebounds across 10 NBA seasons.Melbourne United plays in Australia’s National Basketball League.
