Kole Calhoun homered for the third time in two days against his former team, helping the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 9-6 win against the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday night in Anaheim, Calif.Calhoun, who signed with the Diamondbacks last offseason after spending eight seasons with the Angels, blasted two home runs in a 9-8 win in the series opener on Tuesday.David Peralta had three hits, including a home run, and scored three runs for Arizona (19-31). Calhoun and Nick Ahmed each had two hits, two runs and two RBIs.Arizona starter Caleb Smith went two innings, allowing two runs and three hits while striking out three and walking two. Taylor Clarke (2-0) pitched five innings of relief for the Diamondbacks, allowing four runs and six hits.Max Stassi had three hits, including a home run, and two RBIs for the Angels (20-30), who missed a chance to gain ground on the Houston Astros in the AL West race.Jared Walsh and Justin Upton also homered for Los Angeles.Angels starter Dylan Bundy (5-3) pitched a season-low 2 2/3 innings, allowing six runs (five earned) and six hits. He struck out two and walked two.The first six batters reached base for the Diamondbacks in the second inning and four scored for a 4-0 lead.Peralta’s grounder through the right side scored the first run. Ahmed drove in two more with a broken-bat single to left, and Stephen Vogt made it 4-0 with another RBI single.Stassi hit a 444-foot home run to left with Upton aboard in the second to cut the lead to 4-2.The Diamondbacks scored two more runs in the third on a two-out bases loaded error.Walsh homered for the sixth time in the past seven games to trim the lead to 6-3 in the fifth, and Upton went deep in the sixth for the second straight game to make it 6-4.The Diamondbacks answered with three runs in the seventh, two on Calhoun’s homer and the other on Peralta’s solo shot to stretch the lead to 9-4.
